South Dakota Town Could Add Roulette
Casino operators in Pierre, South Dakota are considering adding roulette as well as craps to their gaming offerings. Officials at Deadwood casino want to spice up their offerings since they have only had slots and card games for the past two decades. President of the Deadwood Gaming Association, Ken Gienger commented that the Association is not ready to ask for voter’s permission on adding the new games. Gienger commented hat operators of the casino have to keep an eye on competition which would include Colorado. The state of Colorado added roulette and craps back in July.
Senator of South Dakota, Tom Nelson commented that supporters will most likely not push the idea of adding the games in the 2010 legislative session. The Deadwood casinos are limited to slots and card games due to the state constitution. Voters would have to approve the new games across the state before they could be added to the casinos.
